Privacy Policy

What we collect

• The business details you enter — name, category, location, optional website and competitors, and the optional lead economics. These are the inputs to your audit and are stored so a later re-audit can compare against it.
• Your email — for your receipt and to reach you about your report.
• Payment metadata from Stripe — a session and payment identifier and the amount. We never see or store your card details; Stripe handles payment directly.
• Your IP address — read from the request to rate-limit the free scan and prevent abuse. Not used to track you and not sold.
• The audit results — grades, competitor findings, and the public web pages answer engines cited. These are drawn from public answer-engine responses about businesses and may include the names of businesses and the people who operate them (including your competitors). If you are named and want your name removed, contact us below.

What we don't collect

• No card numbers, ever. Stripe holds those.
• No tracking of you across other sites. No ad networks.
• No selling or sharing of your data with third parties for their own use.

Who we share it with

Only the vendors that make the product run, each processing data solely to provide their service:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• The answer-engine APIs we query (e.g. Perplexity) — your business name, category and location go into the questions we ask them on your behalf.
• Google (Places API) — for the reputation, listing, schema and review-reply tools, your business name and location are sent to Google to look up its public profile.
• Resend — email delivery (receipts and, if you subscribe to monitoring, your grade-movement digest).
• Our hosting and database provider — to run the app and store your audits.

Cookies

We use a single first-party, strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in across the platform. No third-party, advertising, or tracking cookies.

The platform

MentionGrade is part of OwnerPrint. If you sign in through the platform, one account identity is shared across the products so you don't re-enter it. Your audit data stays with MentionGrade; the platform only carries who you are.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy, and you can opt out of any non-essential processing. We do not sell your data or share it for others' advertising, and we will never treat you differently for exercising a right. To make a request, email us from the address you used — we act on it within the timeframe your law requires (30 days for CCPA, one month for GDPR).

Some processors we use are in the United States (Stripe, Google, Resend, our host); using the product involves transferring your business details to them to provide their service.

Keeping and deleting

Your audits are kept while you use monitoring so comparison works over time, and no longer than needed after that. To have your data removed, email support@mentiongrade.comfrom the address you paid with, and we'll delete it.
